We have the happiest chickens in Sonoma Valley. They are
cage-free, open-air, clucking and cackling egg machines, and they just love laying eggs in their nice cushy nests. We
have a variety of Barred-Rock, Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, Cuckoo Maran, Americana, and Leghorn chickens.
It's been said that "you are what you eat". Well extending that philosophy to the world
of poultry, you can imagine the quality of the eggs our chickens produce. They have a steady diet of fresh garden greens,
vegetables and fruits, in addition to the normal egg producing corn mash that all layers love. We also provide them
with flax seed which is high in Omega-3.
If you've never eaten a farm fresh egg, you are in for a surprise. The yolk and the
white of these eggs stand up as a testament to their freshness. The color of the yolk (a deep orange-yellow) is a result
of a diet that includes plenty of greens. The taste of these eggs is incomparable to normal store-bought eggs.
